Here is an eclectic array of vintage football and basketball cards featuring primarily Hall of Famers, plus a modern grouping with yet another generation of basketball legends, including the 1992-93 Center Court Basketball Art Cards in original display box. Names like Sayers, Jurgensen, Bo Jackson, Baylor, Maravich, Magic, McHale and Bird headline the vintage assortment, while the modern grouping features the likes of Michael Jordan, Abdul-Jabbar, Barkley, Ewing, Olajuwon, O’Neal, Thomas, Wilkins and more. The individual grades for vintage are shown; the modern grouping from mostly Fleer, Upper Deck and Hoops, is pretty uniformly Near-Mint or Nr-Mt to Mt or better, as are the cards in the 1992-93 Center Court Basketball Art Cards. Here’s the breakdown: Football - 1956 Topps No. 41 Rosey Brown Rookie – Excellent; 1967 Philly Gum No. 35 Sayers – Ex; 1968 Topps No. 88 Jurgensen – Ex; 1988 Texaco Los Angles Raiders Police Set Bo Jackson No. 9/12 – Nr-Mt; and 1990 Pro Set No. 1 Sanders – Nr-Mt to Mt; Basketball – 1961 Fleer McCarthy – Nr-Mt o/c; 1971 Topps No. 10 Baylor – Ex-Mt-Plus; 1978 Topps No. 80 Maravich – Nr-Mt to Mt; 1980 Topps May/Bird/Sikma – Nr-Mt to Mt; 1981 Topps No. 75E McHale Rookie – Nr-Mt; and 1981 Topps No. 109W Magic Johnson – Nr-Mt to Mt. The balance of the individual cards from the 1990s forward are pretty uniformly Near-Mint or Near-Mint to Mint and include (13) Michael Jordan cards (Upper Deck, Fleer and Hoops), along with cards of Hall of Famers Bird (5), Magic (2), Abdul-Jabbar, Barkley, Ewing, Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Olajuwon, O’Neal, Robinson, Thomas and Wilkins, among others. The final element of the lot is a mostly Near-Mint to Mint or better (a couple of Near-Mints) complete set of the legendary Center Court Basketball Art Cards (53), found here in the original presentation box. The 3 ½-by-5 ½-inch color cards feature the artwork of Ron Lewis, portraying many of the greatest names in the history of the game, including Auerbach, Barry, Baylor, Frazier, Hayes, Knight, Mikan, Monroe, Reed, Robertson, Schayes, and Wooden, among others. The cards carry the serial number of 04,980/10,000.
