Offered is an important lot of seven individual-player or team sets from the colorful Star Co. basketball issues that sustained the basketball collecting arena for the interval of 1983-85 after the withdrawal of Topps and the arrival of Fleer three years later. The seven sets feature NBA Legends, Coaches and All-Star Teams in spectacular cards in the conventional 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch format, uniformly Near-Mint to Mint or better and displaying vivid color and gloss. Here’s the lineup: 1) 1984 Star Co. Franz Portland Trail Blazers (13 cards); 1983 Star Co. All-Star Game (32); 1985 Star Co. Coaches (10); 1985 Star Co. Milwaukee Bucks (13); 1984 Star Co. All-Star Game (25); and two of the 1985 Star Co. Schick NBA Legends (25 cards each). The Star Co. cards were never issued in the conventional fashion in packs with gum but rather were sold in individual team or subset sealed bags through card dealers across the country.
