This is an extraordinary accumulation of Star basketball cards from the 1990s, a company that produced individual NBA player small sets that were extremely limited and bore a striking resemblance to the more-famous Star Co. issues from the decade before. These cards boast blazing, vivid colors and simply remarkable gloss, offering a presentation that insists these are pristine, uncirculated cards that would be described as Near-Mint to Mint of better. With print runs that were typically 500 (Nova Series), 1,000 or 1,500 and even a couple at 2,000, the cards pictured many of the legendary stars and eventual Hall of Famers, starting with a pair of 1991 Star Promo issues featuring Michael Jordan – Chicago Jordan (five different cards) and Jordan Career (also five different), and limited to a print run of 1,000. It comes out to 33 different individual-player sets totaling a whopping 326 different cards. Breakdown of the rest, with number of cards in the set listed after player name: 1990 Silver Series Set (2), with Olajuwon and Barkley; 1990 Nova Series – Barkley (9), Wilkins (9) Worthy (9) and Chambers (9); 1990 (Print Run Limited to 1,000) – Cummings (9), Drexler (9), Magic Johnson (9); 1990 (Print Run Limited to 1,500) – Magic Slam (9), Olajuwon - two sets (9), Ewing (9), Worthy (9), English (9) and Wilkins Slam (9); 1990 (Print Run Limited to 2,000) – Magic Court Kings (9), Coleman (9), Chambers (9), Ewing (9) and Cummings (9); 1994 Bagged and Sealed sets of 11 cards each – Kevin Johnson and Coleman; 1994 Star Assorted (130 different) from 100-card set featuring 17 players – Bird (10), Barkley (9), McHale (8), Miller (8), Parish (8), Walton (8), Kemp (6) and Frazier (8).
