Presented is an impressive array of largely Excellent to Ex-Mt cards from the challenging 1939 Play Ball issue, a group that is markedly better than these important 2 ½-by-3 1/8-inch cards are typically found in mature collections and headlined by more than a half dozen Hall of Famers. The total represents roughly 42 percent of a complete set, an imposing figure for this pioneering black-and-white issue. Legendary Depression Era stars Carl Hubbell, Paul and Lloyd Waner and Hank Greenberg are included in the mix, with roughly 69 percent of the larger group in Excellent or Ex-Mt condition.
