Here’s a fascinating artifact signed by legendary Hall of Famer Joe Cronin, an official Uniform Agreement for the Assignment of a Player’s Contract to or by a Major League Club. Printed on a delicate, almost transparent stock, the contract is in simply incredible condition, essentially Near-Mint, with no folds and official stamping from the Office of the Commissioner (twice), along with standout signatures Cronin (as vice president of the Red Sox) and Oklahoma City President E.J. Humphries. Contract is date Sept. 1, 1956 and assigns player Eddie Joe Buck to Boston for the princely sum of $500. Full LOA from BAS.
