Presented is a fascinating array of early 1970s Topps football, headlined by roughly ½ of the enormous group being Hall of Famers, stars and commons from 1970 Topps, an array that is in blistering Near-Mint to Mint or better condition. A PSA 8 slabbed 1970 Topps O.J. Simpson Rookie heads a roster that includes the likes of fellow legends Larry Csonka, Lance Alworth, Alan Page, Leroy Kelly, Bob Lilly, Fran Tarkenton and Lem Barney, among others, often with duplication, along with another 144 cards from that important issue. In addition to the pristine 1970 Topps cards, the other ½ of the lot features mostly Topps football cards from 1967-73, not quite in the same blazing condition but still highly collectible at Ex-Mt to Near-Mint for much of the array and a more pedestrian Good to Excellent for 114 cards from 1973 Topps. The breakdown of that 1967-73 subgroup (174): 1967 Philadelphia Gum (30) – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some below, including Meredith, Lilly, Kramer and Colts Team; 1968 Topps (30) – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some below, including Mix, Nance (2) and Reeves; 1971 Topps No. 26 Taylor; and 1973 Topps (114) – Good to Excellent, with some above, including Staubach (VG-Ex), Griese, Marshall, Kelly, Jordan (2), Olsen and Taylor.
