Here’s an opportunity to pick up a nifty collection of important vintage Topps baseball cards from the classic years between 1953 and 1965, with each and every one picturing a beloved New York Yankee. Like an adjacent lot focused on the Chicago Cubs, the cards are in admittedly lower grades but nonetheless provide a great glimpse into the giddy years from 1953-65 when the club managed to win 11 pennants and five World Series crowns. Who better than Topps to chronicle all those postseason heroics, with 19 of the coveted World Series subset cards included in the mix. The offered group is broadly Good to Excellent condition, with some above and below the range and – as is typical with childhood accumulations – some condition improvement with the passage of time, with some of the cards in the 1960s closer to Very Good to Ex-Mt. The array includes cards from the various high series, along with the Hall of Famer lineup and a number of minor stars and Specials.
