Presented is a nice collectible example of the important 1970 Topps Baseball issue, the unique “Grey Lady” that has been used for a generation of collectors as a natural starting point. The offered set is basically Excellent to Ex-Mint, with some above and below and the emphasis probably to Excellent. As is not uncommon in older collections, the condition actually improves a bit in later series, with a few more Near-Mint cards included. For grades outside the broader range, it comes out to essentially 7 percent Near-Mint, 10 percent VG to VG-Ex, and maybe a dozen cards below, mostly to Good. For some of the cards the cuts can occasionally seem a little irregular, though the cards in question are not undersized.
