Here’s a chance to pick up a simply stunning near-set of the important 1963 Fleer issue, a blazing Near-Mint or better monster, with nine cards slabbed by PSA and a striking, pristine presentation that is virtually unimprovable. The nine slabbed cards – including all three short prints – provide a nice glimpse into the wider condition range. Featuring only players from the fledgling American Football League, the iconic issue was the final issue by the Philadelphia-based Fleer company for more than a decade. With cards boasting uniform red borders, the set included many of the legendary figures from the early AFL years, with a total of 88 cards and an unnumbered (and short-printed) checklist. It comes out to a whopping 80 percent of the array falling within Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, 14 percent Excellent-Plus to Ex-Mt-Plus and only a handful of cards below. The three missing cards are Nos. 47 Len Dawson, 51 and 72 Lance Alworth.
