Here’s a high-grade complete set of one of Topps’ most unusual inserts from the mid-1960s, the charming Embossed set that is found here in an exceptional essentially Near-Mint condition, with a few Ex-Mt cards and some miscuts. The 2 1/8-by-3 ½-inch cards feature raised silhouette likenesses of the great stars and Hall of Famers of the period in an unusual format that was very susceptible to the very lightest wear and handling. The breakdown: No. 1 Yastrzemski – presents Ex-Mt m/c but is noticeably shortened in length, No. 8 Koufax – Near-Mint m/c, No. 11 Mantle – Nr-Mt, No. 13 Kaline – Nr-Mt, No. 19 Clemente – Ex-Mt m/c, No. 27 Mays – Ex-Mt-Plus, No. 58 Banks – Ex-Mt-Plus o/c and No. 59 Aaron – Ex-Mt-Plus.
