Here’s one of the truly important issues from an era largely without the traditional candy or gum sets, the 1929 Kashin Publications 3 ½-by-4 ½-inch black-and-white cards that were sold in boxes of 25 to complete the 101-card unnumbered set. Included with the set are three of the four boxes from three different series, with two in Fair condition and one Poor with a missing flap. The set comes out to a truly impressive 20 percent Near-Mint, 31 percent Ex-Mt, 22 percent Excellent and 27 percent Very Good to VG-Ex.
