Offered is an imposing group of cards from the 1953 Johnston Cookies Milwaukee Braves issue, the important inaugural set that launched a three-year run of the quirky food issue that celebrated the city’s infatuation with its newly installed major-league franchise. The 2 9/16-by-3 5/8-inch cards are in a highly attractive mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt condition, with some below and comprise a complete set and more than two dozen extras, including multiples of some of the Hall of Famers and key stars from the fabled club.
