For fans of the one of the most beloved franchises in Major League Baseball history, here’s an extraordinary grouping of St. Louis Cardinals partial team sets running from the iconic 1939 Play Ball issue through the 1950s Bowman, Topps and Red Man sets, most in highly collectible condition and headlined by a remarkable 29 cards of the most revered Cardinal of all, Stan Musial. That august group features a 1953 Bowman Color Musial, arguably one of the greatest cards of the Golden Era of the 1950s, plus a pair of 1953 Red Man Tobacco cards. The lineup is as diverse as it is comprehensive, and the massive lot begs for a good deal of close examination.
