Offered Is a high-grade example of the lustrous 1965 Topps Baseball issue, a near set missing only Mickey Mantle and Bob Uecker and boasting a handsome overall condition of Excellent to Near-Mint, with some below and the emphasis to the upper end of the spectrum. It is headlined by a blazing group of two dozen slabs that include some of the key Hall of Famers, Rookies and important Specials, headlined by PSA 8s of Roberto Clemente, Al Kaline, Nellie Fox and the Stottlemyre Rookie, PSA 7s of Pete Rose, Joe Torre, Yogi Berra and the Tug McGraw Rookie, plus the key Steve Carlton Rookie card in a PSA 6 holder. The whole near set of raw cards is presented in spectacular fashion in the popular M.J. Roop Archival binder, probably the most attractive presentation of cards in sheets extant, boasting heavy-board slip case, vinyl cover page and checklist and silver stamping on jet-black binder (Near-Mint or better). In the raw-card section, there are a couple of duplicate Hall of Famers to slabbed versions, including Kaline and Rose.
