This is perhaps the largest, weightiest accumulation of cards we've ever offered, nearly 20,000 cards in all, almost every last one of them in the same condition as when they rolled off the presses even 40 years ago. Here are virtually all of the mainstream baseball issues from 1981-87, and even multiples of many of them, along with the accompanying Update, Traded and Highlights boxed issues, with the only discouraging word a couple of missing keys that could be very easily replaced. Sets are uniformly Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, with the emphasis to the upper end of the spectrum. Here’s the breakdown: From 1981-85, all three regular-issue sets from the three manufacturers – Topps, Fleer and Donruss – for each year, plus an additional 1983 Fleer Set (16 sets); 1986 Topps (2 sets), 1986 Donruss (2) and 1986 Fleer (1); 1987 Topps (1), 1987 Donruss (2) and 1987 Fleer (2) for an additional 10 sets – total 26 regular-issue sets from the period. Add in the 1989 Upper Deck set for No. 27. There are Topps Traded boxed sets two per year from 1981-85 (10 sets); Fleer Update from 1985 (2); Donruss Highlights boxed sets from 1985 (2), 1986 (2) and 1987 (2), plus Donruss Rookies sets from 1986 (2) – making an additional 20 sets. The handful of missing keys include a Ripken from 1982 Donruss; Gwynn, Sandberg and Boggs from 1983 Topps; Mattingly Rookies from 1984 Fleer and 1984 Donruss; the 1985 Topps McGwire Rookie and the Griffey Rookie from 1989 Upper Deck.
