Presented is a virtually unimprovable example of a key regional food issue from 1960, a set devoted solely to the NFL’s Cardinals and with distribution limited to the St. Louis area. The offered example is a sparkling Near-Mint to Mint or better, essentially as-issued blazers, heightened in its presentation by the extraordinary plastic coating that was designed to protect the cards from ravages of being situated alongside various meat products. No such indignity seemed to be accorded this particular array.
