A sterling group of nearly two dozen pristine Hall of Famers headline an intriguing lot from the fabled 1975 Topps Baseball issue, the classic issue with full-bleed bi-color borders that so readily reveal even the slightest bit of wear. That isn't much of a concern here in a blazing array of cards that is broadly Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, with a few below, spectacular cards boasting vivid colors and exceptional gloss. These blazers apparently came into the world in the adjoining box from that year, a 36-count, 15-Cent beauty that is essentially Ex-Mt-Plus, jostled only by a tiny tear on one inside flap. Toss in a lineup of three dozen Excellent or better wrappers and you have a stunning homage to perhaps the best Topps production of that giddy decade. Card breakdown (340): No. 1 Aaron Highlight, Ryan, Rose, Schmidt, Bench, Jackson, Fisk, Gibson, Gossage, Hunter (2), Jenkins, McCovey (2), Morgan (2), Palmer, Perez, Frank Robinson, Santo (2) and Brooks Robinson (2), plus nine (9) Rookies (including Rice, Carter, Hernandez and Lynn), nine (9) MVP Subset cards, three (3) Checklists, nine (9) Team cards, four (4) World Series and two (2) League Leaders.
