Presented are five handsome minor-league jerseys from several different eras, including several from legendary ballclubs with lengthy resumes of lower-minors lore and legend. That description fits well with a Toledo Mud Hens road grey knit jersey, a V-neck pullover with navy/red/navy collar and matching accents on the sleeve ends. With a timeline dating to the 1980s, the shirt boasts red-on-navy poly-twill identifiers “Mud Hens” on the front and No. 1 on the back, with the oversized Mud Hens patch on the left sleeve. Wilson Size 40 embroidered labeling is present; there is no player attribution to the jersey that reveals medium wear. A Charlotte Knights road jersey traces its roots to 1992, one year before moving from Double-A to Triple-A. The grey knit jersey has no player attribution and boasts a seven-button front with cotton collar lining; it has poly-twill royal-blue and white identifiers, with “Charlotte” and No. 7 front and back. Right sleeve sports a 1992 Double-A All-Star Game patch (played at Charlotte), straight-stitch affixed. Wilson Size 42 plastic label is present in a garment that shows solid wear and is in great condition. The third shirt dates to 1989 and is a Sarasota White Sox road grey knit, with unattributed No. 32 and Rawlings Size 46 labeling on the inner tail. The button-down jersey has three of the six still present, with Velcro swatch between buttons 2 and 3. “Sarasota” is sewn directly on in tackle twill; there is some numeral edge fraying on the back, but still a very presentable minor-league jersey showing solid wear. Jersey No. 4 is a Spokane grey knit shirt with navy/white/orange V-neck, with sleeve end accents of orange/white/navy, with no specific player or even team mascot indications or identifiers. “Spokane” is sewn on in navy-on-orange tackle twill. With Wilson Size 42 collar labeling from 1967-74 period, the shirt may be from a college or junior college; it reveals excessive wear and fraying on the No. 8 on the back and some fading and discoloration. The final element is another enigma, a “Millers” home white knit pullover, with year and minor league or semipro heritage unclear. The lightweight pullover has ribbed knit navy/red/navy V-neck and sleeve accents, with screened-on red-on-navy identifiers “Millers” and No. 14 front and back. Rawlings Size 42 labeling appears on the lower-left front tail.
