Presented is a remarkable grouping of the classic 1952-55 Red Man Tobacco cards, the 3 ½-by-4-inch treasures that feature some of the nicest artwork ever offered on a baseball card, enhanced all the more in this instance by an overall condition range that is as uncommon as it is spectacular. In a notoriously condition-sensitive issue because of the precarious indignity of being packaged with pouches of chewing tobacco, this array belies all that jeopardy with sensational color and gloss and exceptionally clean and crisp card backs, all of which yields a uniform and consistent presentation that has to be seen to be believed. With the additional premium of having the Tabs intact on all 50 specimens, this array is easily Near-Mint or better, making it one of the sharpest groups of these coveted cards we have ever handled. The array includes 13 Hall of Famers in a genre that typically concentrated on the Cooperstown-worthy and the major stars of the period, including the likes of Willie Mays, Yogi Berra, Duke Snider and Robin Roberts, among others.
