Presented is a nice condition example of Fleer’s penultimate football card issue in its four-year run in the early 1960s producing cards from the two professional football leagues. After issuing cards from both the NFL and AFL the previous year, Fleer reduced the size of the set to 88 cards featuring only the fledgling American Football League. The offered set is in an overall condition range of 7 percent Near-Mint, 39 percent Ex-Mt, 34 percent Excellent and 19 percent Very Good. In an issue notorious for centering difficulties, this array conforms to the stereotype, with the majority of the group having the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center qualifier.
