Presented is an attractive sample jersey linked to one of the legendary place kickers of the postwar era, Pete Gogolak, who is largely credited with bringing the soccer-style kicking to the professional game. The blue cotton jersey has long sleeves with two-inch stretch-ribbed knit elasticized sleeve cuff. It has single-ply shoulders with round neck and NOB in classic elongated plain-block font screened directly onto the back. Double early Sand Knit labels on the tail have “Size Large 42-44” with washing instructions straight stitched in blue. While kickers jersey can often reveal minimal wear, this jersey has no wear visible and thus appears to be a sample.
