Presented here is an attractive example of the classic 1965 Topps Baseball issue in an overall condition range that is a bit wider than this issue is typically found in older collections, a solid and consistent Very Good to Near-Mint offering, with some below and the emphasis probably to Ex-Mt. The offering boasts an imposing pedigree, with vivid colors denoting the team-coded backgrounds, nice gloss and clean backs. Perhaps ¼ or so of the set have the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. In addition to the complete set, there are about 150 or so extras, mostly in lower grades and likely cards that were upgraded over time; most of these are from the early series and include a handful of Hall of Famers and a dozen or more Specials. There are also 50 cards from the 1965 Topps Embossed Inserts, and array that is broadly Good to Very Good and features more than a dozen Hall of Famers, including Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Clemente, Koufax, Kaline and Banks, to name a few.
