Presented is about as nice an array of the charming 1954 Bowman Baseball issue as you will find, a group of 103 cards – all different – headlined by a group of Hall of Famers and stars constituting some of the legendary figures of the era. The unique, pastel-inspired Bowman set never looked better, with the typically soft-focused cards found here with uncommonly vivid and crisp colors in an assortment that is primarily Excellent or better (79 percent) and with almost ½ of the roster Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, including five PSA-graded examples. The lineup includes the likes of Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Ralph Kiner, Early Wynn, Eddie Mathews, Robin Roberts and Red Schoendienst, plus a host of the great stars and All-Stars from the mid-1950’s, like a Don Larsen Rookie and cards of Joe Gordon, Mike Garcia, Bobby Avila, Luke Easter, Johnny Antonelli, Del Crandall, Billy Pierce, Sal Maglie, Gus Bell, Bobby Cox, Bobby Shantz, Bob Friend, Andy Pafko, Joe Adcock, Vic Raschi, Roy McMillan, Vic Wertz and a number of others. It is worth noting that 1954 Bowman commons have experienced a decidedly dramatic growth in price increases in recent times relative to their counterparts in the classic 1950s Topps and Bowman issues. Overall, the array comes out to 44 percent Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, 18 percent Ex-Mt to Ex-Mt-Plus, 17 percent Excellent to Excellent-Plus and 18 percent VG-Ex, with just a couple of cards below.
