This is a nice example of the most difficult, condition-sensitive baseball card issue that Topps ever produced, the black-bordered 1971 Topps set that remains one of the true classics for serious collectors. This set is in essentially Excellent to Ex-Mt condition, with some above and below the range, including quite a few Near-Mint cards. The important Baker/Baylor Rookie No. 709 is found here in an SGC 60 holder, the sole slabbed card in the near set. The offering is fairly typical in terms of condition of how this particular set is found in older collections, with a nice uniform presentation; perhaps 10 percent or so have the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation.
