Presented is a truly impressive complete set of the Boxers’ portion of the fabled Turkey Reds Premiums from 1909, the elegant 5 ¾-by-8 ¼-inch cards that are checklisted within the wider checklist of their T3 Turkey Red baseball counterparts. The 26 boxers are found here in a condition range fairly typical of how the iconic premiums are typically encountered in mature collections, broadly Fair to Good, with three cards above to VG-Ex and a couple below to Poor. The key card – Jack Johnson – is in Fair condition but presents much better; several of the cards deemed Fair wind up with the designation because of the infamous pinhole from youngsters wanting to make their treasures easily posted for all to see.
