This is a striking piece promoting the groundbreaking 1949 Baseball issue, a 5-by-20-inch presentation on paper stock that presents in Ex-Mt fashion but has three equidistant folds at 5-inch intervals horizontally. A total of 16 card fronts are depicted, along with a line drawing of a generic New York Yankee; a banner notes “New Cards – New Series – Baseball Bubble Gum – 240 Different Pictures.” Hall of Famers George Kell and Red Schoendienst are included in the mix, along with notables like Allie Reynolds, Ken Keltner and Danny Murtaugh.
