Offered here is a solid example of an important Topps issue from the 1970’s, the 660-card 1973 set, found here in an attractive, consistent presentation of broadly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some below mostly to Excellent or Very Good. It is headlined by a PSA 5 No. 615 Schmidt Rookie. Perhaps just over 10 percent of the set has the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. This was the final time that Topps printed and distributed the cards in series throughout the spring and summer, a format that ruled for more than two decades. The higher numbers are symbolically important because they are the last of the breed, with sets going forward printed all at the same time rather than staggered through the spring and summer.
