Presented is an attractive example of one of the most elegant movie star issues of the postwar era, the colorful 1959 Maple Leaf Playing Cards that were produced in Holland and feature some of the most spectacular images of major Hollywood stars from several eras. The standard-size playing cards feature full-color images of legendary Hollywood figures on cards that are mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with exceptionally clean and crisp card backs that complement the stunning images on the fronts. The lineup is as impressive as the presentation, highlighted by names like Monroe, Loren, Novak, Peck, Natalie Wood, Donna Reed, Hayworth, Vivien Leigh, Wells, Skelton, Flynn, Bergman, Kerr, Mitchum and Olivier, to name a few. The sole missing card is the Ace of Clubs; a Joker is included in the array.
