Presented is an absolutely stunning lot of 1983 Topps Baseball, four 792-card complete sets looking for all the world as they must have 40 years ago when they rolled off the presses, which is to say Near-Mint to Mint, with simply remarkable color and gloss that seems reminiscent of the uber-quality Traded and Update sets from the same decade. Blessed with the coveted “vending bend” which bespeaks of uncirculated cardboard, the cards are uniquely pristine; in what would typically be regarded as an unimprovable array, there is one card – a common, No. 599 – that needs to be replaced in one of the four sets. Just to make sure everyone was paying attention.
