Presented is a neat grouping of vintage bobbin head dolls from the popular 1968 Gold Base Series, including one with the original box and a sterling lineup that features the Colts, Lions, Vikings, Cowboys and Falcons. We'll start with an attractive Colts figure that presents in Ex-Mint fashion, with very little of the dreaded chipping to the jersey, pants or delicate gold base that typically confronts this issue, save only for a couple of tiny chips to the Colts blue jersey on the back. The not-uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece are modest in this rare figure and barely perceptible and typically can only be spotted by holding the figure upside down. The paint job is excellent, with sharp, vivid colors, including on the famed Colts blue jersey; the iconic “Horseshoe” decals on each side of the helmet are without incident, as is the “Colts” decal across the front of the jersey and “Baltimore” on the gold base. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is a matching Ex-Mt condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears. The Minnesota Vikings Bobbin Head presents in Near-Mint fashion, virtually free of the dreaded chipping, and boasting really nice, vivid color and gloss, most notably the blazing purple from the iconic team color scheme; there is some minor chipping of the “Minnesota” decal across the front of the gold base. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The Lions piece presents in Near-Mint fashion, virtually free of the dreaded chipping and boasting really nice, vivid color and gloss, most notably the vivid Lions blue and silver from the iconic team color scheme; there is some minor chipping of the “Lion” decal on the right side of the helmet. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The Cowboys figure presents in Excellent fashion, virtually free of the dreaded chipping and boasting really nice, vivid color and gloss, most notably the famed Cowboys powder blue from the iconic team color scheme; there is some minor chipping on the “Cowboys” decal on the front of the jersey and to the blue-and-white striping decal on the helmet. There is some chipping and cracking to the bottom of the face piece which typically can only be seen by holding the figure upside down. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The final piece is the Falcons Doll that presents in Ex-Mt fashion, virtually free of the dreaded chipping and boasting really nice, vivid color and gloss; there are a few miniscule nicks to the “Atlanta” decal on the base.
