Here is a remarkable Notre Dame sample jersey signed by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Joe Montana, who added an attractive autograph on the back No. 3. Not a gamer, but still an amazing artifact linked to the legendary QB who played 16 seasons, 14 of those with the San Francisco 49ers where he directed the team four Super Bowl championships. The green mesh shirt has open sleeves, double-ply shoulders and ribbed-knit V-neck. It boasts yellow-on-white applique and NOB zig-zag affixed to a mesh nameplate. It has Wilson collar label and “1 – 78” swatch tag at the tail. It is a very well done example by Wilson, which was not the team’s principal supplier at the time.
