"Amos 'n' Andy" was an American radio and television sitcom set in Manhattan's historic black community of Harlem, which was popular from the 1920's through the 1950's. The original radio show was created, written and voiced by two white actors, Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll, who played a few different characters, including the titular Amos Jones (Gosden) and Andrew Hogg Brown (Correll). Amazingly rare 10 x 8 matte-finish photo by Underwood & Underwood, shown in blackface, inscribed, and signed in fountain pen, scattered soiling and scattered creases, overall very good. The inscription is entirely in the hand of Gosden as noted on the LOA from BAS.
