This is a spectacular pile of mostly insert cards from one of the most beloved figures in the history of auto racing generally and NASCAR in particular. In an array with just a wee bit of duplication, the glittering array of glitzy, intricate cards includes holograms, die-cuts, plastic, acetate and mirror-like finishes and virtually all of the new technologies that have been applied to sports cards. Regarded as one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history, Earnhardt’s 76 Winston Cup wins and seven-times Winston Cup Series Championships helped propel him to the top of the racing universe. A member of the inaugural class of NASCAR Hall of Fame (2010), the Motorsports Hall of Fame and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, Earnhardt died tragically in 1999 in a three-car crash at the Daytona 500. He was 49 years old.
