Here is an impressive artifact from 70 years ago, the 1955 Golden Stamps Booklets of the Dodgers, Giants and Braves, complete with the 32 unperforated Stamps that come with each. The charming 8 ½-by-11-inch Golden Stamps magazines feature color covers and black-and-white inside pages, with biographies and statistics and some line art flanking the spot where the Stamps are to be affixed. The program provided for magazines to feature the Indians, Dodgers, Giants and Braves, with three of the four included in this lot. The 36-page magazine, published by Simon and Schuster, includes the two pages of unperforated stamps (16 on each) appearing at the front and back, with the magazines here in Excellent condition, nudged only by some tiny wrinkles and similarly tiny pencil notations of resale price.
