At the close of the decade, Topps produced the largest set in its two decades in the hobby to that point. This grouping of 1969 Topps is largely Very Good to Ex-Mt, with some above and below and perhaps the majority of the cards in the Very Good to Excellent range. A number of key HOFers fall well within the upper range; the first three Checklist cards would end up with a Poor designation by virtue of pen or pencil writing on the check boxes, though perhaps presenting better; the final four Checklist cards are mostly within the Very Good to Ex-Mt broader range.
