The second letter is from Gabe Paul (June 5, 1946 on Cincinnati Reds letterhead) and reads in part, "We are always looking forward to seeing your Diamond Jubilee Edition on July 11. As a matter of fact, we always look forward to every edition of The Sporting News and all I can say is "Congratulations" to you and your staff for the fine job you have done." The third letter is handwritten and signed by Ossie Bluege (June 14, 1946). It reads in part, "We of the baseball world know...the Sporting News has rendered...of the part it has played in the development of our national game covering these past sixty years."
