This typed letter from November 17, 1976 is signed by Joe Paterno in blue ballpoint pen. The letter is on Penn State stationary and addressed to coach James Maugeri of Flushing High School in Flushing, NY. It reads, "Dear Jim, Congratulations to you, your staff, and splendid team for winning the Queens Division B League Championship! We are aware of the necessary dedication, hard work, and sacrifice that goes into such and accomplishment. Naturally, we are interested in some of your outstanding student athletes and will call on you at the end of our season." PSA/DNA pre-certified.
