Presented is an extraordinary artifact from one of the legendary figures in Detroit Tigers history, a Spalding Professional Model bat from Sam Crawford, the Hall of Famer who was part of a fabled outfield with Ty Cobb during the club’s three-pennant dynasty from 1907-09. The bat is an Autograph Model from the 1912-25 labeling period, at 34.875 inches and 36.6 ounces. The ash bat comes with a detailed Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and is assigned a PSA/DNA GU 6 grade. It is uncracked and exhibits evidence of substantial use, with numerous ball marks on all sides of the barrel and bruises visible on the front, left and back barrel. Two small chips are missing from the knob. In addition to the two-page LOA, there is a photograph included showing Crawford holding this model bat.
