This is yet another key American Basketball Association artifact likely worn by small forward Scott English during the 1974-75 season. A well-worn SpanJam Size 46 label appears at the collar with XL (Extra Length) flap tag underneath. A red nameplate with 10 metal snaps across the back of the shoulders has “Scott” in white tackle twill, thought to be a first name for Scott English. The right side of the knit collar shows considerable wear and fraying and a non-functioning zipper. The knit jersey has the red and white elastic piping on sleeves, with San Diego in white tackle twill vertically atop a red knit panel on the left side. English played in 71 games in 1974-75, averaging 6.9 ppg and 5.9 rebounds. There is some staining visible on the right front of the jacket.
