Presented here is a simply amazing complete set of Topps’ inaugural NFL football issue, the coveted 1956 classic, in a condition difficult to imagine after nearly six decades. With almost three dozen cards slabbed and graded by PSA, the roster of the keys – 19 are PSA 8 Near-Mint to Mint and another 13 PSA 7 Near-Mint – is nicely representative of the overall condition range, which is nothing short of sensational. Fully 93 percent of the set is Ex-Mt to Near-Mint to Mint, with blazing colors and gloss and a wonderful, consistent look that perfectly presents arguably the most important football issue of the postwar era. There are two extra cards included in the mix, duplicate versions of two cards that appear in PSA slabs: No. 45 Browns Team and No. 71 Jones. The important unnumbered checklist card is also included: it presents about Excellent but would be relegated to a lower grade because it has been marked up.
