This is the first in a series of elegant sterling-silver season pass pendants, an incredibly rare and coveted crown jewel of the genre, found here in simply outstanding Near-Mint condition. The 1-inch-square piece depicts a baseball diamond with bases and base paths, with “The Giants Bid You Welcome Samuel Frank to the Polo Grounds, Chas. A. Stoneham, Pres. 1919,” along with the serial number “104” below, with the name of the pass owner engraved, the only instance in the series when the name would appear on the pendant’s obverse. The verso, as clean and problem-free as the obverse, has “Lambert Bros. N.Y. Sterling” at the bottom of the diamond shape. The piece is simply an extraordinary artifact that is as rare as it is elegant.
