Presented is a standout example of one of the unique Goudey Premium issues of 1933-34, the striking 5 ½-by-8 13/16-inch black-and-white depictions of Babe Ruth, the 1933 National League and American League All-Star Squads and the 1933 World Champions New York Giants. Printed on an extremely heavy cardboard stock with easel attachments on the back, the black-and-white photos are elegantly framed by a 1/2-inch gold border; the backs of three of the four have text detailing the rosters of the two All-Star squads from that historic inaugural contest and the members of the World Series Champion Giants. There is no text on the back of the Ruth card, which is the only one with a vertical configuration. Included in the lot is the original mailing envelope from the Goudey Gum Co. in Boston (one section from the front is present but torn away and separated). The three team photos are in technically VG-Ex condition but actually present a bit closer to Ex-Mt; the key Babe Ruth card presents in essentially the same fashion but would be affixed a Good designation because of vertical creasing on the left side. The four easels affixed to the backs of the card appear to be virtually as issued and in working condition.
