This Colvinex one-piece flying suit was issued by the Bureau of Aeronautics of the US Navy and is electronically heated for cold conditions. It's a style CFN23, size 38 with 24 volts and carries a serial number 15116. The date "10-3-42" and name "H.J. Pattison" is written in ink pen above the tag on the inside collar. It's made of leather with a fur collar and shows nice wear. The suit was used by a WW2 pilot, Herbert Pattison during the winter and is a great piece of Americana. Pattison was reported MIA on Nov. 2, 1943 on his 24th mission when his crew was attacked by fighters over Wiener Neustadt and crashed.
