Presented is a near-complete set of the incredibly important 1948 Bowman Baseball issue, the first postwar nationally distributed card set and one distinguished by a startling number of Rookie cards, often of some of the legendary figures of the period. That last description applies to the great Stan Musial, found here in Fair condition. The offered array is found in a relatively wide condition range of essentially Good to Ex-Mt, with only a couple of cards below to Fair. Overall, it comes out to 28 percent Ex-Mt, 16 percent Excellent, 30 percent Very Good, 18 percent Good and 7 percent Fair. The five missing cards (5): No. 4 Mize, No. 5 Feller, No. 8 Rizzuto Rookie, No.18 Spahn Rookie and No. 38 Schoendienst Rookie.
