Offered is a compelling example of one of the most important rookie cards extant, Mickey Mantle’s attractive 1951 Bowman Rookie, the horizontal masterpiece that is, of course, the key to the fabled 1951 Bowman issue and a hallmark item for any serious Mickey Mantle collector. This extremely striking example has four uniformly rounded corners, vibrant colors, and 65/35 centering top to bottom. Clean front and back, with no distracting print lines as are so commonly found with this card. The back is also clean, with very light wax wrapper or gum stains, which are often a problem with 1951 Bowmans. This is a magnificent VG example of one of collecting most famous cards and one of the best investments in the hobby.
