For fans of the most popular baseball player of the postwar era (and you know who you are), this lot is an incredible opportunity to pick up nearly two dozen pieces featuring The Mick and covering a span from the earliest days of his career to some of the vast array of modern items produced in the three decades since his passing. It’s a lineup that is headlined by a “must-have” for any Mantle collector, his 1960 Hartland Statue, which is complemented with vintage magazines and photos, early Topps cards and even items from the restaurant that bore his name and overlooked Central Park in New York City. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1960 Hartland Statue, a virtually Near-Mint example of the important 7 ½-inch plastic figures, boasting a superb painting effort and a seemingly problem-free presentation.
