Offered is an extraordinary, untouched Vending Box from Series Six and Seven of 1970 Topps Baseball, seemingly the first time this particular vending box has been submitted for public auction. With its’ pedigree from the legendary Larry Fritsch Collection, it is another remarkable offering that presents opportunities to pull blazing Mint condition monsters of Tier One Hall of Famers like Willie Mays, Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose (let’s not quibble), Ernie Banks, Al Kaline, Johnny Bench and Frank Robinson, among others. That’s enough to set any collector’s pulse aflutter, but the pacemaker also gets stressed from the rest of the lineup that includes the likes of Orlando Cepeda, Gaylord Perry, Catfish Hunter and Ron Santo, plus the coveted Seattle Pilots Team card, a High-Number killer marking the sole year of the original franchise whose exploits were featured in Jim Bouton’s irreverent account in “Ball Four.” For those of you scoring at home, that’s 11 Hall of Famers found within 172-card span of the two High-Number Series (Nos. 634-720), including many of the most revered stars of the era. The box has been authenticated and shrink-wrapped by Steve Hart of Baseball Card Exchange, who noted that this box originated from Larry Fritsch Cards.
