Presented is a pair of game-worn Notre Dame road jerseys from the period 1982-83 attributed to linebacker Mike Larkin and defensive back Pat Ballage. Both shirts have white-mesh shoulder yokes with double-ply shoulders, partial mesh main body and sleeves, and straight tail with 3-inch vents. They also have the finely ribbed V-neck stretch knit that cuts on MHT seam by 2-plus inches. Champion XL with fabric content, washing instructions and “4-inch Extra Length.” The Larkin shirt has no NOB and extra-wide sleeve openings, along with the Champion Mini “C” logo on the left sleeve. Though revealing light wear, there is a major tear along the MHT seam on the upper back. Ballage, a four-year starter as a defensive back from 1982-85 and who would later play two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, has an NOB “Ballage” on a mesh plate, with all identifiers screened on, with NOB in a single color and numerals in two colors. His jersey reveals some tears and shoulder dings and embedded turf paint.
