This 8x10 NASA issued photo features astronaut Edward H. White II and is signed in black felt tip pen. It's inscribed, "To Joe & Minervas Love, With Warmest Personal Regards, Edward H. White II." White was the first American to "walk" in space on June 3, 1965 and died on Feb. 21, 1967 during a pre-launch test of the first manned Apollo mission at Cape Kennedy. Fellow astronauts Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee also died in the fire. White remains one of the most difficult astronaut signatures, with this one being authenticated with a full letter from PSA/DNA.
