This model M253 Louisville Slugger bat dates to the 1980-83 labeling period and is uncracked and exhibits evidence of moderate use with checking on the back of the barrel from repeated ball contact. The checking area has been glued and a personalization on the left of the barrel has been removed. The barrel has ball transfer and ball stitch impressions, with multiple ball transfer marks visible. There is red bat rack paint on the barrel and a light coat of pin tar on the upper handle. Morgan's number "8" is written on the knob and end of the barrel in black marker. The bat measures 34.5" long and arrives with a full LOA from PSA/DNA's John Taube, as well as having the signature pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
